The Making History, Making Change Lecture Series is a national collaboration between the Smithsonian and 25 Smithsonian Affiliate organizations, featuring expert-led talks that explore the people, moments, and ideals that have shaped—and continue to shape—the American experience.

The Museum & Cultural Center at 5ive Points welcomes Dr. Miriam Doutriaux from the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum for an exploration of quilting as one of the most enduring American artistic traditions and the unique challenges of preserving these remarkable works of art and storytelling.
