Bike Camp (ages 7-10): June 6 & 7, 9AM – 3PM

The Museum Center is happy to partner with Bike Walk Cleveland to offer students the chance to learn basic bicycle maintenance and safety. Instructor Gina Simpson will guide campers in learning how to ride their bicycles safely, as well as in how to keep their own bicycles in good working order. Campers will be able to bring their own bicycles and helmets, or one can be provided for them. Camp will be from 9AM to 3PM each day. Campers will need to provide their lunch. Curator Camp (ages 10-12): June 20 – 24, 9AM – 12PM and June 27 – July 1, 9AM – 12PM

Join Olivia Cawood, Curator of Programming and Collections, for a two week camp all about museums. Students will learn what museums are, where their artifacts come from, and how to make exhibits. The first week will be spent learning the basics of museums and how historians do their research. With guidance from our curator, students will begin researching materials for an exhibit of their own. The second week will be spent putting together their research materials and creating their exhibit. This exhibit will be on display at the Museum Center until October 2022. Missoula Children’s Theater: July 18 – 22

WE ARE SORRY BUT THIS CAMP EXPERIENCE IS SOLD OUT

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s production of THE FROG PRINCE on Monday, July 18 at The Museum and Cultural Center at 5ive Points from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Those auditioning should arrive at 9:45 AM and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition, while others will stay for additional arts programming.  All rising 1st graders or 7-year-olds will be excused at 12:00PM on Monday and will return for rehearsals and art activities beginning on Wednesday, July 20th.  For all other campers, drop off will be each day at 9:45AM and pickup by 2:30PM. 

Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. All students, grades 1st through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Most students rehearse approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes each day from 10:00AM until 2:15PM, Monday through Friday. Performances are scheduled for Friday, July 22, at 5:00PM and Saturday, July 23rd, at 12:00pm.  More specific information about your child’s schedule will be given after the audition once parts are determined.

THE FROG PRINCE is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project and is presented in Cleveland, TN by The Museum Center at 5ive Points.

Click It, Lock It, Blow It Up: Adventures in the World of STEAM (ages 9-12): July 11 – 15, 9AM – 3PM

Creative Discovery MuseumJoin us for a week of fun as we explore the world of STEAM! The Creative Discovery Museum team will be coming to Cleveland to guide us on our adventures. Campers will discover all the components of
STEAM – science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We’ll have fun while learning by doing activities like Lego robotics, exploding paint rockets, floating bubbles, and so much more!
