Do you know how people decorated their Christmas trees or marked Christmas Day in the mountains? What about the origins of the 12 Days of Christmas? Join us for a festive and educational Homeschool Day as we explore the rich heritage of Appalachian Christmas Traditions! Students will discover how early Appalachian settlers celebrated the holiday season and how many of those traditions are still evident today. Through a variety of engaging, hands-on activities, learners will dive into the past and also create their own Appalachian-inspired holiday art or craft to take home.
Celebrate the season, spark curiosity, and experience history in a fun and meaningful way!
