Put on your Hoops and Boots for the 2012 Gala

We’re bringing out the finery to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War at the 14th Annual Museum Center Gala!

On September 21st you are invited to join us for this special evening commemorating the Civil War sesquicentennial. We will be dining, dancing and enjoying a special presentation of “Pages of War”, the play based on the diary of Myra Inman written by local playwright Dan Buck.

The evening will begin at 6:30 with a cocktail hour, with dinner at 8pm catered by Alshabibi Catering. This year’s Gala will honor Phil Newman for his passion and commitment for the Museum Center since its inception. Then dance the night away to the sounds of the Dexter Thomas Band.

Civil War memorabilia from the Museum’s collection and on loan from Phil Newman will be on display, and we’ll have an exciting selection of items for the live auction again this year.

Table sponsorships are still available, contact Ken Cagle at 339-5745 ext 16 to learn how you or your business can support the Museum Center with a sponsorship.

Individual tickets can be purchased at the Museum Store or online here for $175 each.

Dress will be black tie or period costume, so get out your hoops and boots and join us for this important fundraiser!
